I finally seized the chance to go down to the Delaware River around midday for a couple of hours mid May 2017.
There was a prolific mayfly hatch, which I believe were Light Cahills size 12-15, and the flies were all over the surface of the river. Fish were caught on the yamamoto craw, power team lures craw d'oeurve, and the keitech bluegill swing impact 4 inch. Bucktail jigs , zoom speed craw, rapala x rap , and zoom fluke caught no fish.

I have fished that wall many times. I've caught Walleye there but no Smallies. On the north side of the bridge there is a set of steps leading down to a riverside platform. There are always big Smallies hanging around there. When all else fails try Ned Rigs.
