    U really don't need 30-50 pound for crankbait, that is overkill. I use 20lb and sometimes 15, if u re-tie after a couple big fish and have ur drag right, u will not break a fish off. And lighter line means further casts to cover more water

    Just started bass fishing...don't have a boat, don't a fish finder... Have to fish from shore...have tried a spy bait once and got shunked... what can I do to improve?

    I have never tried a spybait before. I live on an 80 acre lake that's reality clear. I'll have to try this out . Thanks for the tip.

    my favourite line to use with spy baits is Sunline Reaction FC. the little extra stretch seems to help keep the fish on the line. I use a 7ft med power moderate/fast action rod with a 6:3:1 reel.

    What's the water temp? Can't fish in shorts during the winter here in Colorado. Good video though
