Bass fishing Missouri's lake of the ozarks late december for giant fish. Most of our fish were caught on crankbaits, and jigs although a couple came using different tactics such as a chatter bait. We have been having unusually warm weather in Illinois so we decided why not have a winter fishing trip! We caught loads of fish after we figured out the pattern, but did not get all of them on camera.

Day 1: Best 5 went 14 pound (least amount of fishing time) also didn't know the pattern.

Day 2: Best 5 went 15 pounds 12 ounces (figured out the crank bait bite) no giants this day but a lot of 2-3 pounders

Day 3: Best 5 went 17 pounds 8 ounces anchored by my 5 pound 2 ounce bass caught on a KVD 1.5 flat sided crank bait.

Most of the fish we caught were sitting in 8-10 feet of water with the water temps being 48-49 degrees. The majority of our fish came off of natural banks with chunk rock which seemed to retain heat better than the floating docks or bluff walls.

Goody Bloopers are at the end of the video. The funniest part was when he accidentally fell into the freezing cold lake while trying to retrieve a snag.

Check out my video on clinton lake from last week!
