I like to fish at night every once in a while to get a different feel and challenge. These are some of the tips that I have learned over the years of doing it to maximize your time and energy while you are out there in the late hours.

I can't tell you how many +6 pound bass I've caught at night time, throwing a black jitter bug and listening for the thrash on the surface. Probably 50+ fish in my lifetime, if I have to put a number on it and I live and fish in Northeast. I feel like a 6 pounder up here in NJ l is equivalent to like a 9 pounder down south... I wish our bass had more warm weather to grow, but NJ is home to some giants.

Hey man I gotta tournament tomorrow 6p.m. till 10p.m. and there a lot of shad do you think a kvd sexy dog would work or do you think that it would move to erratic for them to strike accurately

Nice video thanks. One thing id like to add for guys is that bass have a hard time adjusting their eyes right at dark So give it a good hour or so after dark before you go out. You will catch way more fish. I have always wondered why I go out a dusk and don't catch many at all for the first hour. I did some research in my old bassmaster books and there was an article about it. I didn't believe it would make a difference but IT DOES... I am a believer in it now. I also have the best luck at night with a black spinnerbait or a buzzbait

he never mentioned the buzz bait...or frog poppers.or jerk baits...not to be overlooked..

Not just for summertime. I slam in the fall too at nite because my job i get off after it's already dark. Also try 2.5 square bill cranks reeled really slow on the surface.

Watched your night time bass fishing with your friend and excellent video and this one on the tips is spot on. Night time is my favorite time to fish in the late spring, up till around the first of June. After the fish come out of that little post spawn rut, night time fishing is awesome. For me , hands down the spinnerbait cast into the shoreline weedbeds is by far the most productive, and it is such and easy bait to use. However they are not always on that spinnerbait bite and your video covers all the bait choices so very well. Thanks again for excellent videos!!!

Great videos! What are your thoughts on using submersible lights to attract bait fish? Would that change the lure used &/or presentation? Thanks!!!

I see you are using a NuTech jig.  Just found those myself.  You like them better than a normal football head?
