Smallmouth bass fishing in the smoky mountains. I met up with Chris to wade fish one of the best smallie rivers in the state of North Carolina. Tough fishing, but we still got into a few.

It's easy to spook fish when you wade downstream because fish face upstream into the current waiting for food to drift by them. I always wade upstream if I can for this reason, then back downstream to my launch point.
